What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Paradise Pup, a walk-up hot dog and Chicago-style food stand in Des Plaines, Illinois, on the episode "Family Owned" (aired 2007-11-23), highlighting the stand's char-dog and hot dog menu served from a small takeout window. Paradise Pup is a family-run operation on Des Plaines River Road near the Des Plaines River. A Foodeist restaurant listing carries 2026 copyright and content and shows current weekday hours (Monday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), along with an active online-ordering option, indicating the stand continues to operate under the same name at the same address. No independent news coverage or statement from the business's own site was located to confirm this beyond the Foodeist listing, which stands as the only current source found.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
