What happened after Food Paradise?
The episode featured Watson's Original Soda Fountain & Café, a classic American soda fountain and diner known for milkshakes, floats, and comfort-food breakfast and lunch fare, as part of a segment on retro, old-school eateries. The business operated at 116 E Chapman Ave in downtown Orange, California. A Google Places listing checked on 2026-09-08 marked the business's status as permanently closed. The same day, the restaurant's own website, watsonscafe.com, returned no response at all rather than an active page, consistent with the business no longer being active online. No dated news coverage of a specific closure date was found in this check. No replacement business name was identified at the Chapman Avenue address as of the 2026-09-08 check.
