What happened after Food Paradise?
The episode featured The Original Pancake House, a national chain built around traditional buttermilk pancakes, crepes, waffles, and diner-style breakfast fare, as part of a segment on retro, old-school eateries. According to Wikipedia (revised 2026-07-10), the chain traces to Oregon, expanded into Canada starting in 1958, and has since added franchises in Japan and South Korea, along with a spin-off concept, Walker Bros. Pancake House. The Portland location at 8601 SW 24th Ave is tracked separately from the chain's general site: a Yelp listing updated in September 2026 showed 634 reviews and continuing activity at that address, and a Google Places listing checked on 2026-09-08 marked the business operational. The chain's own website, originalpancakehouse.com, last modified in January 2025, functions mainly as a location and menu directory rather than a page specific to the Portland restaurant.

Sources we checked
We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
