What happened after Bar Rescue?

Jon Taffer traveled to Aurora, Colorado for "The Sound of Falling Music," which aired 2019-09-15, to work on Wildfire Bistro, also billed on air as WildeFire Bistro, a bar owned by Tony David, a performer who had built the business around live music. As depicted in the episode, the bar was losing thousands of dollars a month and carrying a substantial debt load, problems the show tied to inconsistent management and a music-venue concept that had drifted from its original identity over time. For the relaunch, Taffer's team renamed the bar The Prime Bar and rebuilt its bar program, staff training, and physical layout, aiming to give the venue a clearer identity than the bistro-and-live-music hybrid it had become.

The rescue followed the format typical of the show's live-music venue episodes, pairing service and hospitality fixes with an effort to restore the owner's engagement with the business. The Prime Bar's run in Aurora did not continue for long after the cameras left. The original owner sold the bar relatively soon after the episode aired, and the venue's online presence, including its social media accounts, was eventually taken down entirely. A business later known as Events at Piney Creek operated an event and wedding venue at the same East Ida Drive address for a period afterward, but a current Yelp listing for that business also shows it as closed, and the company's own website, last updated in 2025 and current as of 2026, now lists only a separate office address in Centennial, Colorado rather than the original Aurora venue.

Taken together, these sources indicate that no bar, restaurant, or event venue is currently confirmed to be operating under any name at the East Ida Drive address associated with the original Wildfire Bistro and Prime Bar. Neither the Wildfire Bistro nor The Prime Bar name has been used at the property since the ownership change that followed the Bar Rescue episode, and this research could not confirm a specific closure date for either the Prime Bar or the venue that followed it.
