What happened after Food Paradise?
On Travel Channel's "Food Paradise" (season 4, 2013), Yuca's Taco Hut was featured for its cochinita pibil and carne asada tacos, served from a small walk-up stand rather than a full sit-down restaurant. The original Yuca's location operates from a modest kiosk on Hillhurst Avenue in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, a spot the business has held for decades and that helped it earn a James Beard America's Classics award. Google Places listed the Hillhurst Avenue address as operational, and the business's website, checked 2026-09-08, returned an active page with online ordering enabled, along with posted hours for a newer Pasadena location the company has since opened.
The website and Google Places both list the business simply as "Yuca's" today, without the "Taco Hut" name used when the episode aired. No indication of closure or relocation of the original Los Feliz stand was found in the sources reviewed.
