What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Afrah in the 'International Eats' episode (aired 2012-06-18), where Guy Fieri sampled the restaurant's halal Lebanese cooking, including meats from its continuously running rotisserie spit and pastries made from the founders' family recipes. Three brothers from Lebanon opened Afrah as a pastry shop on East Main Street in Richardson in 2002, naming it after the Arabic word for joy and happiness before customer demand pushed them to add a full halal menu. According to a June 2026 feature on the dining site CraveDFW, the restaurant has since expanded into the building next door, adding a large covered patio and a dining hall used for weddings and corporate events, and its rotisserie has run continuously since 2002. OpenTable's 2026 listing for the restaurant shows it still taking reservations at 318 East Main Street.
