Community Impact reported on 2015-11-18 that the company began in 2010 as Noble Pig Sandwiches and operated a Northwest Austin shop on RM 620 alongside the Burnet Road shop. The Austin Chronicle reported on 2019-09-25 that the company was closing its remaining Burnet Road location on September 28, that an airport outpost was planned, and that the RM 620 shop had become Interstellar Barbecue earlier that year.
