What happened after Food Paradise?

The episode spotlighted Fred's Downtown Philly Cheesesteaks for its Philadelphia-style cheesesteaks, hoagies, and classic sandwich specialties. The restaurant is a family-run Philly cheesesteak shop in Plano, Texas, founded by Fred Walker, who according to the business's website began the concept in his home garage more than two decades ago, with the Plano location serving as the original flagship store. The main downtownphilly.net website, checked on 2026-09-08, still displays 2020 copyright dates and does not offer online ordering. However, a DoorDash delivery listing for the Plano location, checked the same day, currently shows the restaurant accepting online orders, and Visit Plano's official dining directory continues to list the restaurant as an active business. Together these current listings indicate the cheesesteak shop remains at its original Plano address, even though its own website has not been updated in several years.
