What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

On Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (S27E1, 'Sandwiches, Spaetzle and Sticky Wings,' aired 2017-07-07), Guy Fieri visited Alkaline, a Norfolk noodle bar that fuses Asian soul food with modern flair and makes nearly everything in-house, according to VA Dogwood. Ramen is the restaurant's specialty, and the menu also includes Asian street food like lumpia, Asian tacos, stewed pork nachos, and okonomiyaki, according to VA Dogwood. During Fieri's visit, owner Kevin Ordonez served him twice-fried wings brushed with a sweet and spicy sauce and a braised oxtail-topped ramen, according to VA Dogwood. A 2026-08-18 check of the restaurant's own website found it live with online ordering and gift card sales, according to alkalineramen.com. The site's homepage also links directly to its full menu and gift-card storefront, according to alkalineramen.com.
