What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Harvey's Hot Dogs II in the 'Unexpected Eats' episode, aired 2012-05-07, spotlighting the Portsmouth, Virginia restaurant's hot dogs and its blueberry bread pudding dessert. Harvey's Hot Dogs II operated on Stamford Road in Portsmouth as a hot dog restaurant with street-eats and catering roots. Yelp's listing for the business, updated April 2026, marks the Stamford Road location as CLOSED. A separate location fan site, flavortownusa.com, also lists the address as closed, with historical accounts placing the closure around 2013, though no single dated news article confirming the exact closure date was found. A Facebook page for a related business, 'Harvey's Hot Dogs, Street Eats and Catering,' remains active, but its relationship to the Stamford Road storefront has not been established; in a September 2026 check, Yelp still marked the Stamford Road location closed, with no sign of a reopening.
