What happened after Food Paradise?
Food Paradise's "Bodacious Bowls" episode featured Amor y Tacos and its Alta California-style tacos, a menu built around handmade tortillas and bold salsas layered with Los Angeles flourishes. The restaurant is a full-service Mexican American kitchen and cocktail bar in Cerritos, California, led by chef Thomas Ortega. According to a Yelp listing for Amor y Tacos, updated September 2026, the page showed thousands of photos and reviews and listed current hours for the South Street location, including Monday-through-Thursday service from 11:30am to 9pm. The restaurant's own website returned a bot-blocked response during a direct check on 2026-09-08, so status here relies on the Yelp listing rather than the business's own site. The restaurant has also earned a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand distinction in the 2026 guide.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
