What happened after Food Paradise?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' 'Taste of the Town' episode featured Goode Company Armadillo Palace for its Texas barbecue and Tex-Mex plates served inside a honky-tonk built with a dance hall, three stages, and two bars under one roof next to the original Goode Company barbecue restaurant. The venue is part of the Goode Company family of restaurants on Kirby Drive in Houston's Upper Kirby district. Since the broadcast, the venue's website, checked 2026-09-08, lists 2026 tour and event dates alongside posted hours of Tuesday through Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday, and links to online ordering and reservations. Yelp's listing for the Kirby Drive address, updated 2026-07, shows continued review activity with no closure flag, consistent with the current hours and event listings on the venue's own site.
