Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Aunt Carrie's clam cakes and other classic Rhode Island shore-dinner fare on October 29, 2012, according to Aunt Carrie's Wikipedia entry (revised 2026-07-11). Aunt Carrie's is a seafood shack in the Point Judith section of Narragansett, Rhode Island, opened in 1920 by Carrie and Ulysses Cooper; family legend, per the same entry, credits Carrie Cooper with inventing the clam cake by adding fresh clams to corn fritters.
