What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?
On Food Network's Best Thing I Ever Ate, in the 2011 episode "Eggstraordinary," chef Scott Conant named the Truffled Egg Toast at 'ino as his favorite dish, a sandwich of Amish egg yolks, truffle oil, and Fontina on Pullman bread. 'ino was a seven-table wine bar and cafe at 21 Bedford Street in Manhattan's West Village, opened in 1998 by Jason and Jennifer Denton after a trip to Italy inspired the paninoteca-style menu. A Yelp listing for 'ino Café & Wine Bar, updated 2026-06, marks the Bedford Street business as permanently closed, and Food Network's own restaurant directory separately lists 'ino Cafe & Wine Bar as closed. A different restaurant also named 'ino opened in June 2025 at 31 East 20th Street in the Flatiron District as an offshoot of the restaurant Bottino; it operates under new ownership at a different address and is not a reopening of the Bedford Street original.
