What happened after Food Paradise?
The episode featured Carnitas' Snack Shack, spotlighting its pork carnitas tacos, pork belly sandwiches, and other whole-hog street food built around the restaurant's self-described 'PIG OUT' menu. The Embarcadero location sits along San Diego's downtown waterfront, and the business also operates a second location near Petco Park along with its own catering and events arm. In September 2026, the restaurant's own website listed active pickup and delivery ordering, current menu pages for both locations, and a 2026 copyright date, matching the Embarcadero address's existing hours and menu offerings. The site also promotes a rewards program and gift cards. Carnitas' Snack Shack's counter-service format is offered at both San Diego addresses, with online ordering built directly into its own site rather than routed through a third-party delivery platform.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
