What happened after Food Paradise?
Food Paradise's 'The Last Food Frontier' episode (S15E1) featured the Chena Pump House, now doing business as the Pumphouse Restaurant and Saloon in Fairbanks. The restaurant occupies a former 1933 pumping station built by the Fairbanks Exploration Company to supply water to gold-dredging operations near Ester, according to Wikipedia; the pump house was abandoned in 1958 and converted into a restaurant in 1978, and the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. On 2026-09-08 the restaurant's website (pumphouse.com) listed current hours for its dining room and Senator Saloon bar, showed a 2026 copyright, and offered gift cards and a menu with wine and beverage lists. Google Places lists the business as operational at 796 Chena Pump Road.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
