What happened after Food Paradise?
Food Paradise's 'The Last Food Frontier' episode (S15E1) featured Talkeetna Roadhouse, a historic bakery, restaurant, and lodge in Talkeetna built around 1917 as a freight-hauling supply station, with rooms and a kitchen added in 1944, according to the roadhouse's own website. The business still serves fresh-baked goods, with Tuesday hours of 7 a.m. until the bakery sells out and inside seating opening at 8 a.m., and it offers year-round overnight lodging booked through an online availability calendar. On 2026-09-08 the Talkeetna Roadhouse's website announced that the property 'will be under new ownership beginning October 1st,' adding that its Fall/Winter and Summer 2027 lodging calendars would open once the transition is complete. The website gave no further detail on who the incoming owners are or what, if anything, would change about the historic building's operations.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
