What happened after Man v. Food?
On Man v. Food (S3E6, aired 2010-07-14), the same Phoenix episode also spotlighted Chompie's, the New York-style bagel and Jewish deli chain, alongside its coverage of other local eateries. A Wikipedia entry has flagged the business as closed, but that page was treated only as a lead here, not as a source. According to Chompie's own website, accessed 2026-09-08 and carrying a 2026 copyright notice, the Cactus Road restaurant continues operating as 'Chompie's Restaurant, Deli, Bakery, and Catering,' with online ordering, gift cards, and a rewards program active on the site.
Google Places lists the address, 3212 E Cactus Rd in Phoenix, as operational, contradicting the Wikipedia closure flag. Because this record maps to the same Cactus Road location and Google Places entry as the original listing's other Chompie's listing, the two may represent the same underlying restaurant entered twice in the source data.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
