What happened after Man v. Food?
The episode featured El Churry, a casual sandwich shop in San Juan built around churrasco (skirt steak) sandwiches, along with chicken breast and mixed options, centered on its Isla Verde location in the Punta Las Marías area. El Churry describes itself on its website as operating "desde el 1998," indicating it has served the area since 1998. Since the episode aired, the business has grown from a single shop into a multi-location chain. On 2026-09-08 elchurry.com listed active locations in Isla Verde, Levittown, Guaynabo, Roosevelt, Rexville, Inter, and Cupey, along with a working online-ordering system, a "Club VIP" loyalty program, and posted job openings, according to the site. A Google Places listing recorded the Isla Verde location's business status as operational on 2026-09-08, consistent with the site's current content.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
