What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Part 1 — Season 13, Episode 2 Aired
On Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Guy Fieri visited Danny's All American Diner & Dairy Bar on Falkenburg Road in Tampa, a diner known for burgers named after sports Hall of Famers, including the Triple D Triple Play burger with mojo pork and pastrami that Guy helped create, plus a Cuban sandwich made with capicolla and Genoa salami. Yelp's listing for the diner, last updated 2026-08, and a separate Yelp listing updated 2026-01 both mark the business as permanently closed, as does a Foursquare listing. A Google Places record checked across the show had matched the diner's name to an unrelated coffee shop on North Dale Mabry Highway, several miles away, which was corrected using the diner's confirmed Falkenburg Road address via a Census Bureau geocode lookup.
Part 2 — Season 19, Episode 15 Aired
On the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode 'Grilling Greats' (Food Network, aired 2014-06-21), Guy Fieri visited Danny's All-American Diner & Dairy Bar, a roadside order-at-the-window stand in Tampa with a retro baseball theme and no indoor seating. According to the restaurant's Yelp menu listing, Fieri built a custom burger for the segment using a fresh-ground patty topped with slow-roasted pork, pastrami, Swiss and American cheese, tomato, jalapeno, an onion ring, and mustard on sourdough, a combination later sold as the 'Triple D Triple Play.' Danny's operated as a casual grill-and-ice-cream stand with picnic-table seating on North Falkenburg Road for years after the 2011 taping.
A Yelp business listing updated 2026-08 lists Danny's All-American Diner & Dairy Bar as permanently closed, and the fan site DinersDriveInsDives.com lists the Falkenburg Road location among its closed stops. No current website or 2026-dated review showing open hours could be found for the address.
