On Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, in the episode 'Seafood & Sammies,' Guy Fieri visited Traffic Jam & Snug, a multi-level Midtown Detroit restaurant that has operated its own in-house bakery, microbrewery, and dairy since 1965 under a name inspired by the crowds it drew and the Irish word for a bar's family-friendly side room. Detroit News reported that a fire destroyed the restaurant's roof and interior on 2022-05-27, and Crain's Detroit Business reported in February 2026 that the restaurant had held only a pop-up event and was not close to a full reopening nearly two years after the fire. Google Places' current listing marks the business as permanently closed.

However, the restaurant's own website, reviewed on 2026-09-08, listed current weekly hours and a delivery partnership with WECO Hospitality, dated by its March 2026 last-modified timestamp. Because these accounts conflict, whether the restaurant has reopened could not be independently confirmed.
