What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (Food Network) featured Donna Jean in the episode "Flavortown Flavorfest", which aired 2025-08-22, spotlighting the restaurant's vegan, Italian-inspired menu. The Sherman Oaks location was a second outpost of a vegan restaurant group whose original restaurant remained open in San Diego, according to a report on LAist. A Yelp listing for the Woodman Avenue address, updated in July 2026, listed the Sherman Oaks location as closed. Google Places likewise listed that Woodman Avenue address as permanently closed. According to LAist, chef Roy Elam attributed the Sherman Oaks closure, which came at the end of 2025, to revenue that never grew beyond a small, loyal customer base. The restaurant's website, donnajeanrestaurant.com, still loads with 2026-dated content and an active ordering option, but that content now describes the surviving San Diego restaurant rather than the Sherman Oaks address the show originally visited.
