Down the Hatch was a restaurant and bar on Lahaina's Front Street, and Maui Nui First had named it the island's Best Bar, citing its cocktail program alongside the seafood menu. According to the restaurant's own news page, checked in September 2026, the Front Street location, along with much of historic Lahaina town, was lost in the August 2023 wildfires, and the business is rebuilding at a new site in Kaanapali, with a reopening planned for February 2027.
