What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Zobo & Meester's in Cathedral City during the 'From Spicy to Icy' episode (S26E15), which aired 2017-06-16, spotlighting owner Bart Groendycke's Saturday barbecue and the shop's panini sandwiches. Zobo & Meester's was a quick-serve restaurant on Perez Road known for burgers, gourmet salads, and its Flame Thrower panini of roast beef, pulled pork, pepper jack, and habanero salsa. According to Discover Cathedral City, the restaurant was selected for the Food Network feature after Guy Fieri took notice of the owner's barbecue recipe. A Yelp listing for the address, updated in July 2026, marks the business as closed, and Google's business listing for the same address also shows a permanently-closed status as of the September 2026 check.
