What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

El Grifo appeared in Food Network's 'Plating Up Puerto Rico' episode (aired 2022-05-06). The restaurant pairs a Puerto Rican menu with a vegan side of the business, offering vegan catering and cooking classes through its own academy, according to the restaurant's website (accessed 2026-09-08). The same site lists dine-in reservations, birthday reservations, private-event bookings, and takeout ordering, and its pages carry a 2026 copyright notice. Google Places lists El Grifo as operational. The site's shopping cart and search features indicate an active e-commerce presence alongside the restaurant.

The business operates at 623 Calle del Parque in San Juan, per the location tied to its Google Places and website records. Its academy branding suggests a broader culinary-education offering alongside standard restaurant service, based on the site's own menu of class types. No dated news coverage beyond the restaurant's own channels was located for this record.
