What happened after Gordon Ramsay's 24 Hours to Hell and Back?
Fetch Bistro was a dog-friendly restaurant and bar on East 37th Street North in Wichita, Kansas, owned by Greg and Pamela Buss and built around a novel concept for the U.S. market: welcoming customers' dogs into the dining room alongside their owners. When Ramsay's crew filmed the sixth episode of the season in November 2017, the restaurant had no head chef, inconsistent rules about leashing dogs, and food-safety habits that mixed poorly with a pet-friendly dining room — servers petted dogs without washing their hands, and the kitchen was preparing "dog food" from ordinary human food, including dishes made with onions, which are unsafe for dogs. Ramsay, disguised as a dog lover, was served an overcooked burger and under-seasoned chicken, while hidden-camera footage revealed dogs loose in the kitchen, no inventory system, and spoiled meat.
Over the 24-hour turnaround, Ramsay's team built a dedicated cooking area and a healthier dedicated menu for dogs, promoted kitchen manager Sue to head chef, deep-cleaned the kitchen, converted an unused patio into a fenced dog area donated by a local company, and worked with Greg on balancing the restaurant with his marriage. The relaunch went smoothly, according to an account on realitytvupdates.com, with returning customers responding well to the changes. The improvement did not hold. According to Wichita TV station KAKE, the restaurant — by then operating as Fetch Bar & Grill — closed on April 28, 2019, after the episode aired in July 2018, with the owners citing the restaurant's location as a significant factor in a Facebook post announcing the closure. KAKE's coverage noted a follow-up post floated a future reopening, but none had materialized as of 2026. The space at 7718 E 37th Street North has since been occupied by a different, unrelated business, Napoli Italian Eatery.
