What happened after Bar Rescue?

Finesse Lounge operated at 144 W. Ramsey St. in Banning, California, owned by AJ Cabral, and appeared in Bar Rescue's "My Brother's Barkeeper" (aired 2024-04-07). During the makeover, Jon Taffer renamed the business "47 Social: Lounge & Dining," according to barrescueupdates.com's recap, published April 6, 2024; that piece noted that a February 2024 site visit still found signage inside the bar reading "47 Social," even as the owner's social-media posts had already drifted back toward the Finesse Lounge name. That April 2024 recap was itself published the day after the episode aired, so it captured only the earliest post-relaunch period rather than the venue's longer trajectory, which the February 2025 follow-up recap was needed to document.

A later recap on realitytvupdates.com, last updated February 8, 2025, reported that Cabral phased out the "47 Social" branding entirely within months of the relaunch, reverting to Finesse Lounge as the sole public-facing name. That recap also reported that Finesse Lounge appeared to have permanently closed by early 2025, though its author wrote that no public announcement of the closure was ever found and that the exact closure date remains unknown. Yelp's page for the address, shown updated in August 2026, marks the listing closed and shows it under the Finesse Lounge name with 19 photos and 14 reviews, consistent with the earlier closure report.

Realitytvupdates.com also reported that a new business, Akimi Kantina, a Japanese-fusion restaurant, had since opened in the same space, though the exact opening date was not given. Google's listing for the location likewise marks it permanently closed. Between the February 2025 recap and the August 2026 Yelp listing, the closure of Finesse Lounge is supported by two independently dated sources roughly eighteen months apart, even though neither pins down the precise date the doors stopped opening or explains why the Bar Rescue rebrand was abandoned within its first year.
