What happened after Food Paradise?
On Food Paradise's 2013 episode 'Deli Paradise' (Travel Channel), the show visited Goldberg's Famous Delicatessen, spotlighting the deli's stacked pastrami and corned beef sandwiches, matzo ball soup, and potato latkes. Goldberg's Famous Delicatessen was a Jewish-style deli that operated in the Factoria Square Mall in Bellevue, Washington, opening around 2005. The Seattle Times reported that the Bellevue location closed after roughly thirteen and a half years in business, citing owner Ben Cukier's account of a rent increase and parking problems; Cukier told the paper he had not ruled out reopening elsewhere and had kept the deli's furnishings and equipment in storage. A Yelp listing for the business, updated in July 2026, still marks the Factoria location permanently closed.
