What happened after Man v. Food?
The Grand Rapids episode paired Casey Webb's five-pound chili dog and onion ring tray at another stop with a visit to Grand Rapids Brewing Company, one of the city's craft-beer stops highlighted in the hour, according to listings for the episode. Grand Rapids Brewing Company was a brewpub at Ionia Avenue SW and Fulton Street that had operated for roughly 11 years, according to Crain's Grand Rapids Business. Crain's and Fox 2 Detroit reported that a fire on February 23, 2024 damaged the brewery's kitchen and HVAC system, and that owners announced later that month the closure would be permanent rather than temporary. WOODTV reported the brewery is closed as of March 2024, though the Grand Rapids Brewing name and recipes may continue elsewhere in the future.
