What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Leonard's Pit Barbecue in "The Memphis BBQ Tour," which aired 2008-05-26, spotlighting the pit's chopped pork barbecue plates and sandwiches. Leonard's Pit Barbecue has served Memphis-style barbecue since 1922 and has operated from more than one Memphis-area address over its history. A Yelp listing updated 2026-08 marks a former Fox Plaza Drive location permanently closed, while a separate Yelp listing updated 2026-07 shows the business currently operating at 1100 North Germantown Parkway, offering delivery and takeout. The business's own website, leonardsbarbecue.com, remained live as of this search. No dated news account or owner statement describing the specific move was located, so the relocation here is documented through the two current listings rather than a firmer announcement.
