As shown in the episode, owner Ashley was struggling to keep the cafe going, and Irvine's team used its usual two-day, $10,000 renovation to rework the menu, refresh the dining room, and reset kitchen operations around the cafe's breakfast-focused identity. Food Network Gossip reported that in the months immediately following the broadcast, the cafe saw a genuine sales bump and initial improvement, consistent with the pattern seen at many of the restaurants Irvine visited that season, giving the owners some breathing room after years of struggling to keep the cafe afloat on its own before the show's crew arrived to help.

The turnaround did not last as a storefront restaurant. Food Network Gossip reported in November 2013 — about a year after the episode aired — that the Maple Tree Cafe had closed. Robert Irvine returned to Maple Tree Cafe in Las Vegas, Nevada, for a Restaurant: Impossible (Food Network) revisit segment billed as "Restaurant More Impossible," which aired February 26, 2014. The breakfast spot had originally been renovated in a Season 4 episode, when Irvine worked with then-26-year-old owner Ashley on the menu and dining room. The follow-up segment checked on how the cafe and its owner had done in the time since. According to Food Network Gossip, a fan blog, Maple Tree Cafe did not sustain its post-show turnaround and closed in the year or so following the original episode.

A Yelp listing for the business at 7345 S Jones Blvd is marked closed as of a July 2026 site check, consistent with that reporting.
