What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
On the August 2012 Unconventional Comforts episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Guy Fieri ate at this Hernando cafe tucked beneath a downtown-square building, where deep-fried stuffed jalapenos and banana bread French toast anchored a Cajun-leaning American menu. The cafe operates at 2476 Memphis Street in Hernando, Mississippi, below the Accents on the Square building on the town square. According to the DeSoto Times, the business took on a new name, Underground Cafe, sometime after the episode aired, moving on from its original Memphis Street Cafe name. A My Delta World article from January 2020 described the cafe as open for lunch and dinner seven days a week under the new name, and the business's Toast online ordering page for Underground Cafe was live and accepting orders as observed in September 2026.
