What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visited Rizzo's Diner, a diner in the South Main Historic District of Memphis, Tennessee, for the episode 'Savory Standouts,' which aired 2012-08-19. The diner, owned by chef Mike Patrick, operated at 492 South Main Street and later did business under the name Rizzo's by Michael Patrick at the same address. A Yelp listing for Rizzo's by Michael Patrick, last updated 2026-03, marks the restaurant permanently closed, and a separate Foursquare listing for the earlier Rizzo's Diner name also tags the business as now closed.

Neither listing gives a specific closure date, and no successor business at the address could be confirmed from the sources reviewed. The address sits in Memphis's South Main Arts District, within walking distance of the Mississippi River, in an area served by the city's Main Street trolley line.
