What happened after Food Paradise?

Food Paradise's 'Big Easy Eats' episode featured Middendorf's, a seafood restaurant on US-51 in Manchac, Louisiana, known on its website for its trademarked Original Thin Fried Catfish. The restaurant has operated at the Manchac location on US Highway 51 for decades and now also runs a second location in Slidell, Louisiana, according to its website. According to a Google Places listing checked on 2026-09-07, the business status for the Manchac location is operational. The restaurant's website, checked on 2026-09-09, listed separate online-ordering links and menus for both the Manchac and Slidell locations, along with a shared events calendar and history and news sections. No 2026 copyright date was visible on the page, but the active dual-location ordering system and current menu links support the operational listing. No reports of closure, relocation, or ownership change were found in either source.
