The restaurant's own website shows a 2022 copyright and does not reflect current-year activity, but a Yelp listing updated in September 2026 shows the restaurant still active with 1,981 reviews and 2,168 photos, and promoting a new menu. The business also operates a second location in Huntersville, North Carolina, according to its own website's locations page. A Grubhub delivery page also exists for the Morehead Street location.
Part 2 — Season 32, Episode 6 Aired
For this Funky Finds takeout episode, Guy Fieri ordered from Pinky's Westside Grill, a converted Charlotte auto-repair shop topped with a Volkswagen Beetle that Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives has featured in multiple episodes, including a Season 1 episode called Blue Plate Special, according to the restaurant's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives location page. The segment revisited the restaurant's towering burgers, snappy hot dogs and fried pickles. Pinky's, a spin-off of the Penguin Drive-In, operates at 1600 W. Morehead Street.
