What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
On "To Bakersfield and Beyond" (aired 2015-04-24), Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives detoured to the small oil town of Taft, California, where Guy Fieri highlighted this family-run Thai restaurant's pad Thai and tom yum kung soup as fresh, bright dishes. According to one longtime customer review, the restaurant has served the Taft community for close to two decades. A Yelp listing updated in March 2026 shows the restaurant still active at 215 Center St with 183 reviews, and Tripadvisor separately ranks it among Taft's top restaurants with a 4.2-star rating. The business also maintains an active Facebook page under the name Asian Experience. No standalone official restaurant website was located; a community-run menu page explicitly disclaims being the restaurant's official site.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
