According to QNS (2020-10), the restaurant closed permanently on October 11, 2020, after its owner cited pandemic-related hardship, saying brunch service had become "too difficult for a brunch spot with 14 seats." The restaurant built its menu around playful, nostalgia-driven comfort food, including a Captain Crunch-battered fried chicken sandwich and sriracha mac-and-cheese balls, according to The Infatuation. Queen's Comfort was a brunch-and-comfort-food restaurant in Astoria, Queens. QNS reported that the restaurant's second location, at 36-18 30th Avenue, closed permanently in October 2020 amid the COVID-19 downturn, after nine years in the neighborhood, with the owner saying he remained hopeful for a future return.

The business had already relocated once before: We Heart Astoria reported in January 2018 that the original 30th Avenue location was closing, with a move to a new Astoria spot in the works. A Yelp listing for the restaurant, updated in August 2026, still marks it permanently closed.
