Is Ray Ray's Hog Pit Still Open? Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives Update
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Season 27 Columbus, Ohio
Current status
As of October 2026, Ray Ray's Hog Pit is listed open on rayrayshogpit.com, reviewed by our team on September 7, 2026; not yet independently confirmed through direct contact.
What the source shows: The Clintonville location's own website, checked 2026-09-08, shows current hours, working online ordering, 2026 copyright, and an explicit 'still serving' statement; an automated closure-phrase flag on the page was a false positive from a navigation-menu fragment. What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visited Ray Ray's Hog Pit in the 'College-Town Champs' episode (aired 2017-11-17), where Guy Fieri tried the Mangalitsa Brat Burger and St. Louis spare ribs, smoked using owner James Anderson's traditional process. Ray Ray's Hog Pit began as a barbecue food truck before opening brick-and-mortar restaurants, according to the restaurant's website. A website check of the Clintonville location on 2026-09-08 found current hours, a working online ordering system, and copyright dated 2026, along with text stating the shop is 'still serving Clintonville after all these years.' The same check found four active central-Ohio locations listed — Clintonville, Franklinton, Westerville, and Granville — indicating the business has expanded well beyond the single truck originally featured on the show.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
