What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives? 2 episodes

Part 1 — Season 13, Episode 6 Aired

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visited Rincón Criollo's original Corona, Queens location for the 'Meat Madness' episode that aired 2012-01-16, spotlighting the family-run Cuban restaurant's traditional cooking. The restaurant had served the Corona neighborhood for nearly fifty years at that address. According to Secret NYC, the Corona location closed in 2021 amid pandemic-era financial strain and rising rent. Long Island Restaurants reported that the family had already opened a Huntington Station location in 2015 and later added a second Long Island spot in New Hyde Park.

The Rincon Criollo website currently lists both the Huntington Station and New Hyde Park addresses with phone numbers and posted hours, and it no longer references the original Queens address. A site check on 2026-09-08 found the Huntington Station page listing daily hours from noon to 10 p.m.

Part 2 — Season 19, Episode 14 Aired

The "Crazy for Chicken" clip episode revisited Rincon Criollo in Corona, Queens, spotlighting the chicharron de pollo, crispy fried chicken pieces in garlic sauce, that Guy Fieri sampled on an earlier Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives stop. Rincon Criollo has served traditional Cuban cooking as a family-run restaurant since the mid-1970s, alongside dishes like picadillo that also drew attention on the show.
