What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
On Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Guy Fieri visited The Redhead twice, a bar and comfort-food restaurant on East 13th Street in Manhattan's East Village where chef Meg Grace served homemade pretzels with beer cheese alongside buttermilk fried chicken and shrimp and grits. The Redhead had operated at that address since 2006, serving cocktails and Southern-inspired comfort food. EV Grieve reported in November 2016 that the bar planned to close for good in January, and DNAinfo reported on 2016-12-14 that it would close that week after a decade in the neighborhood.
Google Places' current listing for the East 13th Street address also marks the business as permanently closed. Patch and other East Village outlets covered the closing at the time, noting it capped a decade-long run for the bar in the neighborhood.
