What happened after Food Paradise?
The Flipside appeared in the 'Carb Overload' episode, part of a lineup of carb-focused restaurants filmed across several cities that also included Blue Star Donuts in Portland, Jacob's Pickles in New York, Eggy's Diner in Minneapolis, and Wholy Bagel in Austin, as a restaurant on 12th Avenue South in Nashville's 12 South neighborhood at 2403 12th Ave S. Google's listing for the business marks it permanently closed as of a 2026-09-08 check, and the listing shows no operating website for The Flipside. No dated news source or public record was found describing when or why the restaurant closed, or showing a successor business currently operating at 2403 12th Ave S under a different name. Google's listing, current as of the 2026-09-08 check, is the only current source on the restaurant's status.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
