What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?
The 'Better Than Mine' episode (S5E4) featured The Pink Adobe, a longstanding New Mexican and Continental restaurant on Santa Fe's Old Santa Fe Trail near the historic Plaza. The Santa Fe Reporter has covered the restaurant's ownership history, including a stretch when the business closed by November 2010 after changes made under a prior owner drew criticism, followed by a reopening under Priscilla Hoback, daughter of longtime owner Rosalea Murphy. The restaurant later passed to Hoback's son Joe, who sold it to the Garrett Hotel Group, operator of Santa Fe's Inn of the Five Graces.
According to a Yelp business page updated 2026-09, the restaurant is currently open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. at 406 Old Santa Fe Trail, and closed on Mondays. No closure or further ownership change since the Garrett Hotel Group sale was found in available sources.
