What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured The Spoon Trade of Grover Beach, California in the episode "Coast-to-Coast Comfort," which aired September 20, 2024. The Spoon Trade was a dinner-only restaurant at 295 W Grand Ave describing itself on its website as feeding "the people of the Central Coast." A Google Places listing checked September 8, 2026 marks the restaurant's business status as permanently closed. The restaurant's own website, thespoontrade.com, remained online during that same check, but its newest dated content was an announcement for a tenth-anniversary party on August 14, 2025, and the posted hours (Wednesday through Sunday, 4 to 8 p.m.) appeared unchanged since that stale content, with no 2026 updates found on the site. No news coverage naming a specific closure date was located for this entry.
