What happened after Food Paradise?
The episode featured The Spot's beachfront patio dining and a casual bar and seafood menu, served with direct views of the Gulf of Mexico from Galveston's Seawall Boulevard. The Spot is an open-air restaurant and bar that has grown into a small local chain with locations in Galveston and League City, Texas. The restaurant's website (thespotrestaurants.com), checked on 2026-09-09, showed active pickup and delivery ordering for both locations and described the Galveston Seawall address as "the one that started it all," alongside 2026 copyright text.
The site also promoted catering services and carried separate pages for jobs, community involvement and contact information alongside its Galveston and League City delivery menus. Google's business listing for the Galveston location, checked the same day, marked it operational. No closure, relocation or ownership change has surfaced since the episode aired.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
