What happened after Food Paradise?

Food Paradise's 'Global Grub' episode featured Von Trier, a German-themed bar in Milwaukee's East Side neighborhood serving imported German beer, cocktails, and pub food. According to the bar's own website, it has served Milwaukee and its neighbors since July 1978, styling itself as a historic German beer bar and cocktail lounge. The website, checked 2026-09-08, displayed current-year content along with kitchen and bar hours running from early afternoon into the overnight hours Thursday through Sunday. A Google Places business listing, checked the same day, separately marked Von Trier as operational at 2235 North Farwell Avenue. Neither source indicated any change in ownership, name, or location, and the bar's hours and branding matched across both the website and the business listing.
