What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Whale's Rib in "Only At This Joint" (S7E5), which aired August 31, 2009, spotlighting the restaurant's raw bar and seafood specialties. The Whale's Rib is a seafood restaurant in Deerfield Beach, Florida, that according to its own website has been operating for more than 30 years. A Yelp listing for the business, updated July 2026, shows it operating at 2031 Northeast 2nd Street, Deerfield Beach, with an active online-ordering link. The restaurant's own website, whalesrib.com, lists the same Northeast 2nd Street address and links a working SkyTab online-ordering system alongside current Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. Together, the July 2026 Yelp listing and the restaurant's live ordering page indicate the business continues to operate at that address.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
