What Happened to Anna Vincenzo's After Kitchen Nightmares?

Anna Vincenzo's was an Italian restaurant that owner Cece (Concetta) Vincenzo opened in Boca Raton, Florida in 2001, according to Mashed's 2026 retrospective on Kitchen Nightmares restaurants that later closed. By the time of Gordon Ramsay's 2009 visit, the episode stated Vincenzo was around $190,000 in debt to her father and initially would not accept Ramsay's criticism of dishes including a dry, previously frozen salmon and an overly bland pizza, according to Reality TV Updates' recap; Ramsay also found frozen gnocchi and overcooked meatballs during a kitchen inspection. Ramsay eventually persuaded Vincenzo to accept a simplified, family-style menu built around a lasagna special, redecorated the dining room, and brought in local professional athletes for a promotional pizza event tied to the relaunch.

The reopening night, according to the recap, went well, with food moving quickly and customers responding positively. The turnaround was short-lived. According to Mashed, Anna Vincenzo's closure came in April 2010, about a month after the episode aired, and Vincenzo told Ramsay during a follow-up visit that she had sold the business so she could spend more time with her children rather than because of the restaurant's performance; Mashed reports that customer reviews had stayed fairly positive after the original episode. Reality TV Updates independently gives the same April 2010 closing date, and both sources describe Ramsay finding the restaurant already shut when he returned to film the Season 4 "Revisited" special, which aired in 2011.

Mashed also reports that Vincenzo's marriage to co-owner and head server Michael did not survive the restaurant's closure. According to Reality TV Updates, Michael went on to open a separate restaurant, Il Contadino, in Delray Beach, Florida, citing a Boca Magazine article that describes him as Vincenzo's former husband; as of that site's most recent update, Il Contadino held a four-star Yelp rating. As of a 2023 update, the former Anna Vincenzo's location in Boca Raton was occupied by an unrelated restaurant, Arun's Indian Kitchen.
