What happened after Food Paradise?

Food Paradise's Big Beef Paradise segment featured Big-Ass Sandwiches, a Portland cart built around oversized deli sandwiches, including a beef, turkey, or ham version piled high with hand-cut fries and topped with a cheese sauce. The business began as a food cart before expanding, according to Food Truck Talk's profile of the operation, to a brick-and-mortar location on NE Glisan Street. Google Places lists a Mississippi Avenue address for Big-Ass Sandwiches as permanently closed, and a Yelp listing for the business, updated 2026-04, likewise marks it permanently closed.

Yelp's listing history also shows an earlier profile for the cart's original SW 3rd Avenue and Ash Street spot. No fresher source shows the business reopened or operating under a new name at any address; the sandwich concept appears to have ceased operating across its Portland locations.
