What happened after Food Paradise?

Food Paradise (Travel Channel) featured this Henderson, Kentucky chicken counter, billed on the show as Bon Ton World Famous Chicken, in its 2013 episode "Fried Chicken Paradise" (S4E15, aired 2013), for a distinctively spicy, salty fried chicken recipe. According to a 2015-07-17 post on marieletseat.com, the recipe had been served at Henderson-area mini-marts since the 1960s, and the business operated under a Bon-Ton license until a fee dispute in late 2013 led the Dundee family to rename it The Colonel's Mini-Mart. A Tripadvisor review of a later successor, Bangie's Cafe, lists the same address as formerly the Bon Ton and Colonel's Mini-Mart. A Yelp listing for Bon-Ton Mini Mart, updated 2026-02, lists the 2036 Madison St location as permanently closed.
