What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Brooks Burgers SLO in San Luis Obispo, California, on the January 17, 2025 episode "Sandwich Smorgasbord" (S39E8), an episode built around sandwich shops. The burger restaurant operated at 134 Tank Farm Road in San Luis Obispo. A Google Places listing checked 2026-09-08 marks Brooks Burgers SLO as permanently closed, and the restaurant's own website, brooksburgersca.com, returned an access-denied response on the same date rather than any current menu or hours. No newer, dated source was found showing the restaurant open, and no separate closure announcement, news report or ownership statement could be located to confirm when or why service ended. Because the original listing's own evidence already includes the dated Google Places status and no fresher source shows the location open, that closed determination is treated as settled rather than requiring an additional search.
